Local Family Photo in Oconee County | First Birthday

This family was a joy to photograph for their son’s first birthday! I first photographed them in the Spring among all the cherry blossoms and then at the end of Summer, I got to photograph him once again for this big milestone. Such an honor and joy!

Little man was such a cuddle bug with his parents, but was showing his independence too. Love the image above of him with his parents. You can really see how much these three love each other and how smitten his parents are with him. We got plenty of images of the birthday boy by himself with lots of smiles and inquisitive looks. Love it all!

Mom did such a wonderful job picking out their outfits. She had texted me pictures while shopping for her little man and we both agreed on these adorable sage green overalls with the plain lining. Really worked out nicely with the season, the setting we were in and with mom and dad’s outfits. Great example of what to wear for family portraits with a baby boy!

Athens GA Family Portrait Photoshoot

This family portrait photoshoot at the Botanical Gardens in Athens, GA was such a pleasure. I had first photographed this family when their daughter was born for her newborn portraits. Look at her now! So grown!!!! We did a Simplicity Session to keep with the children’s schedules and beat the heat. It worked out great.

Mom did a great job with the outfits for her family. Her flowered dress with smocking and ruffled detailing is a great choice for this location and in coordinating with the rest of her family members. Her husband’s white jeans, loafers and blue shirt is a classic choice. The kiddos are dressed in tradional outfits that will stand the test of time. Love how they all coordinate with each other without being matchy matchy. Great example of what to wear for a family portrait photoshoot.

Dogwood Bloom Family Photos In Oconee County, GA

I saw first blooms of dogwoods the other day, which means it is time to book your dogwood bloom family photos. The images below were taken mid-April last year when the dogwoods were on their last leg. I would suggest getting on the calendar today for the first couple of weeks in April. If the blooms come earlier or later that your scheduled date, I will let you know and we can adjust your session to ensure you get the best of the white flowers! So fitting for Spring portraits in celebration of Easter!

Love the pastel color palette this family chose for their dogwood bloom family photos. Perfect for this time foyer and all the fresh greens in the wilderness. Great way to coordinate, while not being too matchy. The white ruffled dress is one from the Yvonne Niemann Photography wardrobe closet, which all clients have access to.

We held their session at my outdoor studio in Oconee County, GA. The dogwood trees photograph beautifully here and the wooded pathways and creek give a lot of variety. Perfect spot for portraits!

I have been photographing this beautiful family for quite a few years now and it is always such a pleasure to capture them during important milestones. Big brother is a Freshman in high school now, middle sister is in middle school and baby sister is towards the end of her elementary journey. They are super close and are great companions. They sure are lucky to have each other. You can really tell that they adore each other and get along. Love how they are naturally holding hands in the creek as they explore and support their little sister. Mom mentioned how the girls love doing each other’s hair, so we made sure to document that. Isn’t it just beautiful?
