Fall Extended Family Photographer | St. Louis

I sure miss the vibrancy of Autumn in St. Louis. As an extended family photographer, I was fortunate to spend the most beautiful time of year in the gateway city. I have photographing this family since all the boys were just babies. Now they are all teenagers and one is currently a senior in high school this year. How on earth did that happen?!

We chose Forest Park due to the vibrant colors there. Love how the trees reflect in the water, which just adds more dimension and beauty. Luckily it was a sunny day and even though there were events happening near by in the park, this location wasn’t overly busy and I was able to photograph this sweet family without distractions.

They did a great job coordinating their outfits together and the color palette worked so well with the season. As a professional extended family photographer, I always make sure to give guidance with outfits and even offer free location scouting to find the best place for your family.

Such an honor to photograph this extended family in St. Louis. They all hold such a special place in my heart! So thankful that they trusted me with these special images.

Senior Pics In Field – Watkinsville

Time for senior pics!!!! School starts tomorrow here in Oconee County, which means that it is also the beginning of the last year of high school for seniors. Lots of memories to be made still along with all the milestones and events that you have been waiting for!

This senior wanted her senior pics to be in a field to go with her country vibe. We had a beautiful evening with magical light for her portraits. Perfect for this young lady and the outfits she picked.

This adorable white ensemble with cowboy boots really showed off her personality and worked wonderfully with her surroundings. She changed into two other outfits for variety and to switch up a vibe just a tad.

For her second outfit, she chose this adorable yellow flower set that worked great with the yellow flowers found in the field. Love the tie in the back!

Her last outfit for her senior pics was this pink tie front shirt with puffy sleeves and white jean shorts. Such a popular, on trend outfit to showcase this time in her life.

Such an honor to photograph this OCHS senior! This is one of my favorite fields to photograph in, but there are others in the area in case this one isn’t in its prime. I am always keeping my eyes open for the perfect spot for my clients. So happy with how this location worked for this senior session.

Senior Pics Of A Girl Who Loves Books

These senior pics are some of my favorite when it comes to a themed portrait session! I love it when seniors incorporate their favorite hobbies and interests into their portraits.

This young lady is an avid reader and she had mentioned her love of books in her questionnaire. I instantly knew that we needed to include images of her favorite pass time in her senior photos. I put together a storyboard with ideas and colors that I thought would work well for her session. Her outfit worked out perfectly and I love that she brought her favorite books and flowers from her mom’s garden. The field is also on her family’s farm, which was a delight with the flowers and romantic flowing tall grass. They even have a swing in a couple of trees!

I love finding locations that have elements of nature I adore. Magical lighting. layers of foliage, pretty flowers, pathways, tunnels of trees, boulders, various water elements and all the little details in between.

As things are warming up, nature is coming alive. You can see hints of it with grass greening up, tiny buds on trees and certain flowers showing off their beauty already. That also means that cherry blossoms will be flowering in the near future too!

I`ll be keeping an eye on things and when I have a better prediction of when they will be in bloom, I`ll make an announcement. Stay tuned.

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

This picture was taken in a blizzard down the street from where I lived in St. Louis. Can you believe this was in March, right before Easter?! This is NOT a black and white picture. It just looks like it due to the snow conditions. We already had leaves on the trees, which made the snow coverage that much more magical too.

Now, I do not miss the dirty, slushy mess that comes after a snow like this, but I do miss sledding, making forts and snowmen, and having snowball fights.
