Fall St. Louis Family Photography

Fall St. Louis family photography is something I look forward to every year. So honored to be able to head back to the gateway city to continue documenting the sweet families as they grow. I have been photographing this family since it was just mom and dad for their first maternity session. Look at them now! Unbelievable. Glad that they invited grandparents to partake in their portraits once again. Always a special treat.

We did a family session at their home when they first bought it many years ago when it was under construction still. That was when it was just the eldest boy. Talk about coming full circle to photograph here again when the home is officially a home.

I have been photographing this dear family since their eldest daughter was a newborn. As a St. Louis family photographer, it is always such an honor and joy to document them every year. This year they invited their nanny to be in their family portraits, which was such a delight. She is after all a big part of their family dynamic!

We did their fall family portraits at their home, which was super convenient for everyone and their busy schedules. Their property is beautiful and we were able to use their favorite spots for their backdrop. Always great to photograph sessions at places that are comfortable and have meaning for families.

Farmington Family Photos Outside | Early Fall

Early fall is a great time for family photos outside if you want cooler weather, but don’t want vibrant colors. Greens are a bit more muted, but quite lovely. It is the time where a few leaves are beginning to turn, but the majority are still green. Perfect if your home decor does not lean towards rich colors.

Love the colors this family chose for the family photos. Green, blue, white and a pop of pastel pink work so nicely for autumn portraits and for this location. The pattern in grandma’s dress along with the checkered shirt of her son work so well together. The girls’ outfits in solid colors bring it all together without the patterns being too much. Great example of how different patterns can work together.

Lots of personality in this six month old baby girl! Love her smiles and how she likes her cuddles with family members. She isn’t able to sit up on her own quite yet, but her tummy time is very strong and all her facial reactions are just precious. Love this milestone in babies!!!!
