With Spring photography sessions just around the corner, I thought a little inspiration on what to wear for your portraits may come in handy! As you may know, Pantone’s color of the year is Radiant Orchid. The illustration below is a good example of how to incorporate this color into your wardrobe without it being over the top! Notice how the outfits for all the family members coordinate nicely without being too matchy matchy? The trick is to pull colors out of an outfit and use some of those colors within other family member’s outfits. Sometimes it’s helpful to start with a color scheme that you like too. So, let’s look at the little boys outfit. His blue jeans works well with mom’s jeans and shirt, dad’s jeans and shoes and sister’s dress. The radiant orchid in brother’s shirt coordinates well with mom’s shoes. His gray vest, shoes and tie works well with dad’s gray shirt. Everyone looks polished, stylish, comfortable and coordinated! All wardrobe pieces can be found in stores now through Old Navy and shopruche.com. Have fun picking out what you are going to wear for your upcoming portraits!
