This three month old’s baby photos were such an honor to capture! I have been photographing this family since their eldest was born and was a tiny little newborn. So, it is just amazing to be able to see this family grow over the years. Happy to have traveled to Knoxville for these special milestone baby photos!
We had planned on starting with their baby photos outside, but due to rain, we ended outside at a park down the street from their house and began at their home. This worked out perfectly as everyone was able to ease into the session a bit more at their own pace and allowed the weather to do what it had to. Being flexible can be super important for portrait sessions – especially in the Spring when rain frequently enters the scene.

I could not get over this Southern belle had grown since her newborn baby photos three months prior. This set-up really showcased that! The image above was a recreation of her mom’s own baby photos. Same dress and we tried to mimic the pose and eyelet pillow as much as possible. I love being able to make images like this that bring such sentimental value to families. I can just see this image next to her mom’s own baby portrait form when she was the same age.
Love all the outfit choices mom chose for her daughter’s baby photos. She mixed in some family heirlooms along with some sweet timeless pieces that will always stand the test of time. The soft tones of the color palette also allows focus to stay on the subjects. For the images where other family members are included, I love how everyone coordinates, but are not matchy matchy. The pastel colors go wonderfully with the surroundings and for this time of year.
