Studio Heirloom Toddler Photography in Oconee County, GA

I love it when parents choose to do heirloom toddler photography sessions in studio. Such a classic choice that is a true Southern tradition. This lil’ lady came to my home studio in celebration of her birthday. She is wearing a family heirloom dress that has been passed down through the generations. It is one that her mom wore around the same age and now her daughter is being photographed in it for her own heirloom portraits.

The birthday gal was having a rough morning, so we eased into things by photographing her sweet stuffed doggie to show her how things are done. We played games, played her favorite song and we even used a bit of tape to assist us. I love all the expressions we got from her during her heirloom toddler photography session – even the sweet pouts! Adore it all!!!!!

The backdrop used here is one of the hand painted canvases offered through Yvonne Niemann Photography. This traditional choice worked wonderfully with her complexion and her beautiful dress. Love how it worked in the B&W images too. I used studio lighting in a natural way to enhance her portraits.

Bare feet was the perfect choice here. Got to love those precious toes!!!! Spring is officially here and Easter is just a few days away. How are you celebrating? Are you heading out of town for spring break, staying put, planning fun activities within short driving distance, or perhaps a combination of all the above?

Since my daughter is in college and she already had her spring break, we are looking forward to having her home for Easter and celebrating the holiday with friends.

So happy to have flowers around us once again and green on the trees. Just in time for the upcoming weekend.
