With all the rain we have had and temps warming up, Spring blossoms are just around the corner. So excited for family photos outside once again! This is my favorite time of year. Every day is like opening a present with things blooming at different rates.

We held this family’s portrait session at the Georgia State Botanical Gardens in Athens, GA. These images are just a small portion of their extended family portraits. We picked this location for ease for a family member who is in a wheel chair. It stormed that morning, but was completely clear, sunny and dry by the time we arrived. Perfect day for Spring family photos outside.

Cherry Blossom Portraits Athens, GA

This sweet family were lucky to get cherry blossom portraits for their son’t first birthday last Spring. It is exactly what mom had envisioned. Luckily the timing worked out perfectly. This was the last session of their baby’s Grow with me Plan with me. Such a treat watching this little man grow and documenting all of his milestones during his first year.

Mom did a gret job with their outfits. Her pale pink dress really coordinated well with the cherry blossoms and the white and a blue that the boys wore finished things off nicely.

These parents are so sweet with their son and you can just see how much joy their little boy brings them. I have a feeling that the feelings are mutual.

This one year old is such a ham! Love his funny and sweet personality. He really goes with the flow.  Didn’t seem to mind the brisk morning we had during his cherry blossom portraits. The best way to get the birthday boy to smile is to have his parents sing some of his favorite songs. Playing peek a boo behind my camera seemed to work quite well too.

Heirloom Portrait Photography | Athens, GA

This Winter heirloom portrait photography event was hit here in Athens, GA. These two Southern Belles came in to the studio for their timeless portraits. Their heirloom dresses were perfection. The pale blue and white color palette is such a classic and wonderful choice for traditional photos. Love the lace detailing, which really makes these dresses stand out! The simple white bows finish things off wonderfully. Great example of what to wear for your children’s heirloom portrait photography session.
