Fall Motherhood Family Photoshoot At Mead’s Quarry

Earlier this week I had the honor to photograph this beautiful mother with her babies in Knoxville. This was for the youngest’s nine month milestone portraits. I chose this particular image for the sneak peek of their family photoshoot at Mead’s Quarry for all of its beauty and the connection between mother and baby girl. I just love this location with all the fallen leaves, the cliffs, clear water and beautiful light.

We started their family photoshoot at their home for some special nine month milestone images inside and outside. We then moved on to Mead’s Quarry to get in all the beauty that Mother Nature has bestowed upon this area. It worked out perfectly and is such a wonderful way to highlight this special milestone.

Mom’s outfit is just perfect for Fall portraits too. Love the cream knit poncho with fur trim and those brown boots that coordinate with the colors of the season. Her daughter’s cream dress and velvet bow is so fitting as well. Wonderful example of what to wear for this season’s family photoshoot out in nature.

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

This picture was taken in a blizzard down the street from where I lived in St. Louis. Can you believe this was in March, right before Easter?! This is NOT a black and white picture. It just looks like it due to the snow conditions. We already had leaves on the trees, which made the snow coverage that much more magical too.

Now, I do not miss the dirty, slushy mess that comes after a snow like this, but I do miss sledding, making forts and snowmen, and having snowball fights.

Hope everyone fares well with the winter storm this weekend.

I know we have all heard about the winter storm that is heading our way this weekend. Instead of thinking of ice, I am choosing to think about the warm beach!
