Over the weekend, I had the joy to photograph this baby boy newborn in my home studio along with his parents. He was exactly two weeks old the day of his session. Isn’t he such a dream?!

His parents are building a home and there has been a delay by a few months, so they are currently living with parents in Madison, GA. So, coming to to me was the best option! A studio newborn session is perfect for when you want to get out of the house, but also when you aren’t ready for people coming to your home yet. I have everything set up and ready to go for when you arrive. Plus, most newborns are zonked out after a drive in the car, which can start things off really well for their portraits.

This little guy is such a sweet heart and is quite the eater! Super strong and loves being held. He makes the most adorable goat and bird chirping sounds too!!! He could not wait to meet his parents, so he came about a week early, which I am sure his parents did not mind one bit. This family of three are going to have such a great time together through life. Lots of travel, good food, play and fun in store!

The image above was taken right after we did images of this baby boy newborn with his parents. He was fast asleep and as I was taking the swaddle off of him he fell into the cutest pose since he was so relaxed. Just had to capture it!

This beautiful little lady was three weeks old for these newborn pictures taken at her home in Knoxville, TN. Isn’t she just a doll?!

Her mom had received beautiful flowers as a gift after her baby was born. She ended up buying more of the same flowers to use for the newborn pictures above. She envisions enlarging one of the images to put in the nursery. Very fitting for this Southern princess. Baby S slept like a charm, but I loved to see her eyes when she was awake too! In the image below, we placed sweet little girl next to her Cuddle + Kind dolls to show just how little she is. Her mom wanted something that we could use at all of her milestone sessions in the first year to show her baby’s growth and we both agreed that these dolls would be perfect.

All moms spend so much time designing and decorating their baby’s nurseries, so it makes sense to do some newborn pictures there. After all this is where they will be spending a lot of their time in the future. This is the moment mom’s dream of – bringing their baby home and holding them in their new room! I love the reading nook and the light is just divine. Perfect setting for lifestyle newborn pictures.

Of course, it is always great when the whole family in present and we can document everyone together when the new addition arrives. This little girl is so lucky to have three big brothers and loving parents! What adventures they will have.

Didn’t mom do a fantastic job coordinating everyone’s outfits? Not an easy feat with four men in the family. They look so nice together and even compliment the nursery colors. Very fitting for newborn pictures!

I love documenting dads with their babies and you can just see the pride this dad has towards his one and only baby girl! There truly is nothing like holding your little one and taking in all their features. Such a special moment in any parent’s life.
