I absolutely adore Spring time in Georgia! This beautiful three year old’s child portrait photography session took place on UGAs North Campus. It is in full bloom and so lush right now. The sun streaming through the trees is absolutely magical. Perfect setting for this birthday girl’s portraits!

This Southern lady is wearing a dress from the Yvonne Niemann Photography wardrobe closet. Her mom found the perfect headband and shoes to compliment the outfit. Love the pastel color and the delicate details that works so well with the coloring of Miss L’s skin and hair.

The birthday girl has such a fun and sweet personality. She really enjoyed exploring this area and having plenty of room to run about. We played a lot of games to make the process fun, but also give us some serene images to showcase both sides of her personality. Her mom said that this lil’ lady walks on her tippy toes all the time and really wanted to show that as she knows it won’t last for ever. So sweet and sentimental. I bet she won’t ever have problems walking in heels when she’s older.

This is my sweet baby girl. She is obviously not a baby anymore, but rather a beautiful young lady, but she will ALWAYS be MY baby. I am sure all parents can relate.

Lily is why I do what I do. Before I got pregnant, I was a video producer with some crazy hours. When I found out I was expecting, my husband and I looked into childcare options, but weren`t having much luck finding what we needed. My heart was telling me to be with my daughter. I didn`t want to miss out on anything. My plan was to freelance, but the hours honestly weren`t much different, so I decided to stay home with my baby girl.

I had always done photography on the side. Early on, I did photo journalism, but then switched over to doing it as a hobby once I started my career in video. I worked for a photographer for a short time in college who had her studio in her home and always thought that would be perfect for when I had my own family. So, that is exactly what I set my mind to once I made the decision to quit the video world. As a mom, it would allow me to set my own goals, hours and run things the way I wanted.

Owning my own business has been such a blessing! I get to be there for my daughter and family while feeding into my passion for photography. It gives me such freedom and makes my heart sing with every session I do. Love documenting important moments for my clients throughout their journey of life. Such an honor and something that I don`t take lightly.

Thank you Lily for leading me down this path and allowing me to do what I am truly passionate about. Getting pregnant with you was the push I needed to make my dreams a reality.

You know when people say that if you do what you love, you never work a day in your life? I can attest that is very true. It is what I hope for my daughter and all of you!
