Last night was the perfect evening for beautiful Spring maternity photos in Bishop, GA! This stunning mom-t0-be had requested a field for her pregnancy portraits with the hopes of perhaps some flowering trees or something that resonated with the season. I did a lot of location scouting to find a perfect spot for her and her husband to show off this remarkable time in their lives and had it narrowed down to three spots. The field that we ultimately ended up doing their maternity photography session is one that I drive by almost on a daily basis. I have always been captivated by it’s beauty and then last week, I noticed tiny purple flowers scattered throughout the grass like confetti. It was indeed the perfect spot for this couple. These two are so sweet together and exude romance. We got some amazing images of the parents-to-be dancing and snuggling up together as well as portraits just simply showing off the glow of pregnancy. I picked the image above for their sneak peek because I love the romance and tenderness that it portrays. It really shows the love and respect these two have for each other and for their baby boy that they have created together. Such a miracle!

I have to mention how perfect their outfits are for this location. The color of the dress pops among the landscape and mimics the colors in the purple flowers in the field. It flows over her beautiful curves showing off her belly in such an elegant and beautiful way. Her husband’s shirt complements the dress and surroundings perfectly as well. It really is the perfect match for Spring maternity photos at this location. Great example of what to wear!

Happy 20th birthday to my sweet Lily Mae!

Twenty years ago today, I had no idea how completely my world was about to change. I still remember all the little details - the morning walk, making homemade cinnamon bread, the doctor’s appointment that unexpectedly turned into a hospital stay, the movie we watched while we waited for your arrival, the sweet nurses and doctors that helped welcome you into the world (thank you Mike for the epidural)…and then the moment they placed you on my chest and we met for the very first time.

I could not have asked for a better daughter. I am so incredibly proud of the woman you have become and love watching you find your own way in this world. I cannot wait to see where life takes you next.

No matter how grown you are, you will always be my baby girl. Happy 20th, Lily Mae. You are my whole world. 🤍
