This beautiful gal came in yesterday morning for her traditional southern heirloom portrait session. Her mom really wanted some classic images of her daughter to document her second birthday.
I first photographed this southern belle when she was a newborn at her home, so this heirloom portrait session was extra special for me to see her so grown and with such personality. I loved to see her light up and clap with glee with thoughts and visions of puppies! She is certainly an animal lover. Isn’t she just precious?! I cannot get over her beautiful curls, her perfectly arched eyebrows and her precious smile.
She is wearing a family heirloom dress that her mom wore around the same age. It was handmade years ago with much love and attention to detail. I just love it when clients incorporate sentimental items like this for their heirloom portrait sessions. It makes everything that much more meaningful. The green smocked dress is looks so good with this little lady’s complexion and the hand painted backdrop. Great example of what to wear for a traditional southern heirloom portrait session.
