Today I worked on taking images for a book cover for Sandy Kreps’ upcoming book, Mommy Simplicity. After I was done, I created some pretty images just for myself! I can’t share the images for the actual book yet, but I am able to share these tea still life photos now as they were just purely done for me. The tea cup was a main component of the shoot this morning and luckily the tea I made is one of my favorite lemon teas! Tasty reward.
I started collecting pretty tea cups and saucers soon after I got married. There are two patterns that I absolutely love and those are pretty much the only ones I look for. I now have a complete set of the pattern shown here. It took quite a few years and a lot of searching antique stores and eBay, but so worth the effort. My daily tea makes me so happy and having something delicate and beautiful to hold my beverage in my hands completes the entire experience. I find rituals to be so important in my life and this is just one that always brings me calm.
