Atlanta infant photography of African American baby girl five days old in purple lace.This newborn photography session in Atlanta was super special as her parents had just brought her home that day after a long awaited adoption process. She is a natural beauty and SO loved and wanted. Her parents were still in a bit of disbelief of their good fortune and that this is THEIR baby girl. I traveled to their hotel where they were staying while finalizing all the last requirements of the adoption, which was such an honor. Isn’t she just precious?! She has the most beautiful skin tone and longest fingers and feet. I believe she will end up being quite tall when she grows up. I couldn’t get over all of her thick curly hair that was as soft as silk. SO pretty. She slept most of the time I was there and smiled a lot. I think she is happy to have found her parents as much as they are happy to have found her. Congrats! Couldn’t be happier for the three of you!!!!

Happy 20th birthday to my sweet Lily Mae!

Twenty years ago today, I had no idea how completely my world was about to change. I still remember all the little details - the morning walk, making homemade cinnamon bread, the doctor’s appointment that unexpectedly turned into a hospital stay, the movie we watched while we waited for your arrival, the sweet nurses and doctors that helped welcome you into the world (thank you Mike for the epidural)…and then the moment they placed you on my chest and we met for the very first time.

I could not have asked for a better daughter. I am so incredibly proud of the woman you have become and love watching you find your own way in this world. I cannot wait to see where life takes you next.

No matter how grown you are, you will always be my baby girl. Happy 20th, Lily Mae. You are my whole world. 🤍
