Tea Party For Two In Oconee County, GA

This little Southern lady’s mom requested a tea party for two for her daughter’s petite session. So perfect for a little girl! It stormed pretty hard earlier in the day, but we got a little break in the weather and I quickly set this opulent tea party up for her and her favorite stuffed animal just in time for their session to begin. Isn’t it the cutest? This Southern beauty was so excited o have tea with her little hippo friend, which came complete with petit fours from a local bakery in Watkinsville.

I love the outfit her mom picked for her daughter’s tea party. It goes so well with the set up and the pretty hanging ribbon fixture. Such a classic choice and a great example of what to wear for a session like this. Perfection from her bow all the way down to her adorable sandals.

After the tea party, we moved over to the wooded pathway that photographs so beautifully and gave a bit of variety for this little girl’s petite session. I love how these turned out. She will only be this tiny for a short time and a session like this is such a perfect way to document this fleeting moment. I am sure these portraits will be cherished for years to come. You can really tell how little she is in the images with her mom and with her beloved hippo stuffed animal. Really puts it all in perspective.

This is my sweet baby girl. She is obviously not a baby anymore, but rather a beautiful young lady, but she will ALWAYS be MY baby. I am sure all parents can relate.

Lily is why I do what I do. Before I got pregnant, I was a video producer with some crazy hours. When I found out I was expecting, my husband and I looked into childcare options, but weren`t having much luck finding what we needed. My heart was telling me to be with my daughter. I didn`t want to miss out on anything. My plan was to freelance, but the hours honestly weren`t much different, so I decided to stay home with my baby girl.

I had always done photography on the side. Early on, I did photo journalism, but then switched over to doing it as a hobby once I started my career in video. I worked for a photographer for a short time in college who had her studio in her home and always thought that would be perfect for when I had my own family. So, that is exactly what I set my mind to once I made the decision to quit the video world. As a mom, it would allow me to set my own goals, hours and run things the way I wanted.

Owning my own business has been such a blessing! I get to be there for my daughter and family while feeding into my passion for photography. It gives me such freedom and makes my heart sing with every session I do. Love documenting important moments for my clients throughout their journey of life. Such an honor and something that I don`t take lightly.

Thank you Lily for leading me down this path and allowing me to do what I am truly passionate about. Getting pregnant with you was the push I needed to make my dreams a reality.

You know when people say that if you do what you love, you never work a day in your life? I can attest that is very true. It is what I hope for my daughter and all of you!
