St. Louis Family Portraits | Summer Fun

OK, so I know we’re in winter now, but I thought I’d warm things up with a look at a family portrait session from this summer. This family was so much fun to photograph and they were such troopers dealing with the St. Louis July heat. We got up super early to get that gorgeous light and to get the coolest temps of the day. Totally worth it even though we were all pretty much drenched by the end of the session. (You’d never know from looking at these images though) These portraits just make me smile. Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

This picture was taken in a blizzard down the street from where I lived in St. Louis. Can you believe this was in March, right before Easter?! This is NOT a black and white picture. It just looks like it due to the snow conditions. We already had leaves on the trees, which made the snow coverage that much more magical too.

Now, I do not miss the dirty, slushy mess that comes after a snow like this, but I do miss sledding, making forts and snowmen, and having snowball fights.

Hope everyone fares well with the winter storm this weekend.

I know we have all heard about the winter storm that is heading our way this weekend. Instead of thinking of ice, I am choosing to think about the warm beach!
