Spring Family of Three Portraits in Oconee County, GA

These family of three portraits were such a joy to capture! I have been photographing this lil’ man since he was just a few months old and it is always such an honor to capture his important milestones with his family. Cannot get over how fast lil’ ones grow! These portraits were to document his 18 month stage. Such a great time in a little one’s life. So many milestones have been accomplished and his personality is really showing now along with his sense of independence.

I absolutely love how mom dressed the family for their photo session. The soft pastels works so well with this time of year and really complements their skin tones and eyes. I love that this lil’ Southern man is wearing a bubble as he will quickly outgrow these adorable outfits and it really is perfect for his current age. Perfect example of what to wear for family portraits in Spring and Summer!

This family has such a special bond and I think it comes across in these images. They truly enjoy each other’s company and the parents make everyday things fun for their precious boy. Such a wonderful way to go through life together! I love that this 18 month enjoys exploring and testing his independence, but yet still needs his cuddle time with mom and dad. I hope that never fades.

I have always been inspired by nature and it will always be something I love to photograph. I think it shows in my work with my portrait sessions too. I love finding locations that have elements of nature I adore. Magical lighting. layers of foliage, pretty flowers, pathways, tunnels of trees, boulders, various water elements and all the little details in between.

As things are warming up, nature is coming alive. You can see hints of it with grass greening up, tiny buds on trees and certain flowers showing off their beauty already. That also means that cherry blossoms will be flowering in the near future too!

I`ll be keeping an eye on things and when I have a better prediction of when they will be in bloom, I`ll make an announcement. Stay tuned.

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

This picture was taken in a blizzard down the street from where I lived in St. Louis. Can you believe this was in March, right before Easter?! This is NOT a black and white picture. It just looks like it due to the snow conditions. We already had leaves on the trees, which made the snow coverage that much more magical too.

Now, I do not miss the dirty, slushy mess that comes after a snow like this, but I do miss sledding, making forts and snowmen, and having snowball fights.

Hope everyone fares well with the winter storm this weekend.
