Yesterday, this little beauty came in for her sitting milestone photo session here in Oconee County. She just turned eight months and is full of personality. Such a happy baby with the most adorable expressions. Look at those long eyelashes, big eyes, beautiful hair, baby toes and two front teeth! I could not get enough of her!

For milestone portrait sessions, I recommend scheduling your baby’s portraits to take place once they have met a particular milestone instead of a certain age. All babies hit their milestones at different times. It is completely normal. For example, for the sitting milestone, most people think that they must schedule their session for when their baby is six months old. Yes, some babies are sitting up at six months, but many are much later or a bit earlier than that. It is more important to capture the milestone than the exact age in my opinion. Also, you will want your baby to be able to sit for longer than a second. The more stable they are able to sit on their own, the better. Safety first!
