Athens, GA Baby Photographer | Eight Months

As a baby photographer I get to spend time with adorable lil’ ones like this eight month old while capturing their personality and essence at important milestones. This sweet heart came in yesterday for her sitting milestone portraits with her family. She is quite a sweet heart. She is currently cutting eight teeth, but you wouldn’t know it with her easy going demeanor. I love her blue eyes, those little bottom teeth, her big smiles, pretty hair and all her baby features.

Her mom had brought in a few different outfits and we chose this particular one for baby portraits alone. It is so cute and I love all the details and how it really compliments her complexion. Love that we were able to get images of her with her lovey too. It just so happened to coordinate with her outfit too. Great example of what to wear for baby milestone portraits.

This is my sweet baby girl. She is obviously not a baby anymore, but rather a beautiful young lady, but she will ALWAYS be MY baby. I am sure all parents can relate.

Lily is why I do what I do. Before I got pregnant, I was a video producer with some crazy hours. When I found out I was expecting, my husband and I looked into childcare options, but weren`t having much luck finding what we needed. My heart was telling me to be with my daughter. I didn`t want to miss out on anything. My plan was to freelance, but the hours honestly weren`t much different, so I decided to stay home with my baby girl.

I had always done photography on the side. Early on, I did photo journalism, but then switched over to doing it as a hobby once I started my career in video. I worked for a photographer for a short time in college who had her studio in her home and always thought that would be perfect for when I had my own family. So, that is exactly what I set my mind to once I made the decision to quit the video world. As a mom, it would allow me to set my own goals, hours and run things the way I wanted.

Owning my own business has been such a blessing! I get to be there for my daughter and family while feeding into my passion for photography. It gives me such freedom and makes my heart sing with every session I do. Love documenting important moments for my clients throughout their journey of life. Such an honor and something that I don`t take lightly.

Thank you Lily for leading me down this path and allowing me to do what I am truly passionate about. Getting pregnant with you was the push I needed to make my dreams a reality.

You know when people say that if you do what you love, you never work a day in your life? I can attest that is very true. It is what I hope for my daughter and all of you!
