Today I photographed this beautiful nine day old baby girl for her newborn photography session at her family home in Lake St. Louis. She is such a good sleeper. Didn’t really wake up the whole time I was there, which is quite remarkable! Her mom had written on her questionnaire that she was hoping for a smiling picture if possible and since babies don’t usually smile until they are much older, I couldn’t promise anything, but you can imagine our delight when Miss N graced us with this blissful smile! Isn’t she a dream? Her parents are quite lucky to have such an easy going and sleepy baby. This is what I imagine people are referring to when they say “sleep like a baby” because as you may know, most babies don’t always sleep so soundly. We were able to get quite a variety of images of this princess that I know her parents will adore. I picked this specific image of baby N because of her precious smile, how peaceful she looks, how her hands delicately rest under her cheek and those adorable feet peeking out from her swaddle.
