Beautiful and natural mother daughter photos in Athens, GA.I absolutely adore mother/daughter lifestyle portraits. The bond between mother and child is so unique and special and it is always an honor to document through my camera. I photographed these two ladies at their home in Athens, GA recently. They were so much fun to photograph. I love how they interact together and I couldn’t get enough of this sweet 2 year old’s personality. Such a happy little girl who loves her one-on-one time with mom.

I love how the red dress pops against the white bed linens. Such a wonderful color for E’s coloring too. I love the cuddles mother and daughter had together and when E was checking out her mom’s wedding ring it reminded me of how I used to do that with my own mom.

This is my sweet baby girl. She is obviously not a baby anymore, but rather a beautiful young lady, but she will ALWAYS be MY baby. I am sure all parents can relate.

Lily is why I do what I do. Before I got pregnant, I was a video producer with some crazy hours. When I found out I was expecting, my husband and I looked into childcare options, but weren`t having much luck finding what we needed. My heart was telling me to be with my daughter. I didn`t want to miss out on anything. My plan was to freelance, but the hours honestly weren`t much different, so I decided to stay home with my baby girl.

I had always done photography on the side. Early on, I did photo journalism, but then switched over to doing it as a hobby once I started my career in video. I worked for a photographer for a short time in college who had her studio in her home and always thought that would be perfect for when I had my own family. So, that is exactly what I set my mind to once I made the decision to quit the video world. As a mom, it would allow me to set my own goals, hours and run things the way I wanted.

Owning my own business has been such a blessing! I get to be there for my daughter and family while feeding into my passion for photography. It gives me such freedom and makes my heart sing with every session I do. Love documenting important moments for my clients throughout their journey of life. Such an honor and something that I don`t take lightly.

Thank you Lily for leading me down this path and allowing me to do what I am truly passionate about. Getting pregnant with you was the push I needed to make my dreams a reality.

You know when people say that if you do what you love, you never work a day in your life? I can attest that is very true. It is what I hope for my daughter and all of you!
