The sounds of birds chirping in the morning, frogs singing in the evening and the birth of fresh grass, budding trees and blooming flowers are all signs of a new season full of promise. What is more fitting for a pregnancy photo shoot? This beautiful couple expecting their first child couldn’t be sweeter. They were so excited to meet their son in a few short months and their energy was contagious. There is something so romantic about pregnancy. I think it’s the love between a couple creating this human being that intensifies the affectionate feelings. This is such an amazing time and always such a privilege to create beautiful photographic artwork for couples going through this experience of life together. I love finding locations that have elements of nature I adore. Magical lighting. layers of foliage, pretty flowers, pathways, tunnels of trees, boulders, various water elements and all the little details in between.

As things are warming up, nature is coming alive. You can see hints of it with grass greening up, tiny buds on trees and certain flowers showing off their beauty already. That also means that cherry blossoms will be flowering in the near future too!

I`ll be keeping an eye on things and when I have a better prediction of when they will be in bloom, I`ll make an announcement. Stay tuned.

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

This picture was taken in a blizzard down the street from where I lived in St. Louis. Can you believe this was in March, right before Easter?! This is NOT a black and white picture. It just looks like it due to the snow conditions. We already had leaves on the trees, which made the snow coverage that much more magical too.

Now, I do not miss the dirty, slushy mess that comes after a snow like this, but I do miss sledding, making forts and snowmen, and having snowball fights.
