The Delicate Beauty of Spring

This morning I decided to head out and take pictures of the beauty of early Spring in Athens, GA. So beautiful right now. This is my first Spring in Georgia and I’m already blown away by the beauty of the season, but I am told that I need to brace myself as it is not at the peak quite yet. I can’t even imagine! I am beyond thrilled with the abundance of delicate blooms and I plan on documenting it all along the way! So much to explore and experience as the season unfolds. Stay tuned. Happy 20th birthday to my sweet Lily Mae!

Twenty years ago today, I had no idea how completely my world was about to change. I still remember all the little details - the morning walk, making homemade cinnamon bread, the doctor’s appointment that unexpectedly turned into a hospital stay, the movie we watched while we waited for your arrival, the sweet nurses and doctors that helped welcome you into the world (thank you Mike for the epidural)…and then the moment they placed you on my chest and we met for the very first time.

I could not have asked for a better daughter. I am so incredibly proud of the woman you have become and love watching you find your own way in this world. I cannot wait to see where life takes you next.

No matter how grown you are, you will always be my baby girl. Happy 20th, Lily Mae. You are my whole world. 🤍
