Such a beautiful time at the Botanical Gardens here in Athens, GA this Spring. I got to spend time with this beautiful lady with her husband for their maternity photoshoot. There is nothing like documenting this magical time for couples as they anxiously await their first baby.
We did a morning session at the Gardens to work around their work schedules and to ensure comfortable cooler temps for mom-to-be. It worked out perfectly. Sunny Spring day with lots in bloom. This was a special maternity photoshoot as they are also celebrating their second wedding anniversary this week and are a mere two months away from meeting their baby girl. Such big milestones – all worth documenting.
If you are expecting and aren’t sure when to do your maternity photo session, I suggest booking when you are in your second trimester for a session towards the beginning of your third trimester. This is usually when you are showing beautifully, but aren’t too uncomfortable. This is also a great time to book your newborn session too to ensure you get a spot on the calendar. I keep my schedule rather light and flexible around newborn sessions so if baby comes early or later than the due date, you are guaranteed a spot.
