This family’s lifestyle newborn photo session took place at their home in Oconee County, GA a few days after their son was born. Such an exciting time full of emotions and wonder. We started the session in the parents’ bedroom with their infant boy to show the closeness and love between this new family of three. This is where a lot of time is spent in the first few months of life, which makes it even more fitting for newborn pics.
The nursery made for another wonderful and natural setting. Mom spent countless hours dreaming up this room, decorating and preparing it for their baby boy to arrive. I know it is a surreal experience cuddling and holding your newborn in this special room in the house when you first bring a baby home. I love that mom had her beloved dog join in for some images. Our furry pets are part of the family and deserve to be documented as well. Don’t you love how the puppy is looking at the newest member of the family?! I have a feeling they will be long time buddies!

This little man is such a laid back baby. He really enjoyed his time in his parents’ arms and slept peacefully during my time with him. Love that we were able to capture his adorable smile in his portraits! I also adore how he constantly kicked out one of his legs whenever he was swaddled. I wonder if this is how he was curled up in his mommy’s belly all those months.
