Fun Fall family portrait in Athens, GA.

I had the great honor to photograph this beautiful family over the weekend. Such a fun family portrait giving a glimpse into their lives. The eldest son was not in the mood for photos, so we ended up playing a lot of games and I used a lens on my camera that made him not realize that he was getting his picture taken. We were able to get some really cute lifestyle images.

I have been photographing this family since their first son was in mommy’s belly and it has been such a joy watching their family grow and documenting important milestones. Their youngest child is so laid back and just goes with the flow. He doesn’t even seem to mind his brother messing with him or wrestling him to the ground. They are going to have SO much fun growing up together. Mom and dad are so in love with each other and their beautiful sons. You can tell that they truly enjoy being in each other’s company and experiencing all that this lifetime has to offer!

Mom did a great job choosing their wardrobe for their family portrait. They coordinate really nicely together and their surroundings. Luckily, things cooled off enough for them to wear what they did. Two days prior, it was 90 degrees! Not sure how much you can tell from this picture, but if you look closely, you will see that the baby’s undershirt has gray, navy, green and white in it, which pulls together all the colors that are in the rest of the family’s outfits. Great way to coordinate everyone in an effortless looking way without being matchy matchy. Great example of what to wear for a fall family portrait!

Heirloom photography is a classic way to document your child between the ages of 1-10. Many families choose a specific age depending on when they had their own portraits done as a child or when they feel is most fitting to start the tradition themselves.

The most popular age I see clients for their heirloom photography session is between three and four years old. This is the age range where the child can take some direction and is attentive. They still have those precious filled out faces and adorable child features that just don’t last. I have quite a few parents bring their one year old in for this timeless portraits as well.

Three weeks until graduation!!!!!! Lots of senior activities happening for OCHS graduates. My daughter attended her last DECA competition event (ICDC) in Orlando - having fun with her marketing friends at Universal Studio and Disney Land. She finished her dual enrollment classes at UNG, which leaves her with her two classes at the high school. Luckily she gets to opt out of both of those finals! Senior breakfast was yesterday, today is the senior picnic and lots of other fun activities heading her way over the next few weeks leading up to graduation. You can just feel the excitement in the air.
