Child’s Holiday Portrait in Watkinsville, GA

I photographed this stylish Southern boy last night with his family for their child’s Holiday portrait session in Watkinsville, GA. It was an unseasonably cold evening, but he was a trooper and did great.

I drive past this field of baby pine trees at least three times a week and always thought it would be a perfect place for portrait sessions. I was right! The light is just beautiful in the evening here and gives you that Georgia feel with the pine trees and tall native grass. This little guy enjoyed exploring and following the deer tracks in hopes of spotting one on his own. We never found deer, but we did find some adorableness in this little guy with his parents. Love all his facial expressions and his sweet personality!

His outfit is just perfect for a child’s Holiday portrait. Love how classic, yet unique it is. His mom always does such a fantastic job with the family’s wardrobe. She admitted that dressing her son is one of her favorite hobbies. 😉 His outfit is from Little English. If you aren’t familiar with their clothing, you should really check them out. They have the best classic children’s clothing for little boys and girls up to size 8. Perfect for anyone who loves high quality Southern style fashion for their children.

What do you do when you want your furry family member in at least one family picture, but the location does not allow pets? You follow the rules and take portraits in the park and then at the end, you get a few images in the parking lot. The light was gorgeous coming through the trees here and their pup seemed to be so happy to be included!

Now, there are a lot of locations that allow pets, but if your heart is set on a place where they are not permitted, we can always find an option either at the beginning or the end of the session where we can document your important family member too!

What a beautiful Fall evening for family portraits. Love that trees are just starting to turn in color, but there is still plenty of green to go around.

Mom always does such a great job dressing her family and last night was no exception. One little sentimental touch - little brother is wearing the same sweater his big brother wore at their last photo session. Love how he fits into now and how it all comes full circle!

Fall in Athens can be absolutely magical!

These sweet sisters had the prettiest November portrait session at Founder`s Garden on UGA`s campus. The vibrant fall foliage was the perfect backdrop, while their soft pinks, delicate florals and cozy layers complemented the scenery beautifully.

Late October and early November are some of my favorite times for fall family photos in Athens, GA. Gorgeous colors, comfortable temperatures and beautiful memories to treasure for years to come.
