On February 7, I’m hosting my Annual Winter Heirloom Portrait Event here at my studio in Oconee County, Georgia. These are the kinds of portraits Southern families have cherished for generations—simple, elegant, and meant to last well beyond the season.

Each child is photographed individually against a clean white backdrop with professional studio lighting, allowing the focus to stay exactly where it should: on your child’s expression, features, and personality at this moment in time.

Fall Family Pictures St Louis

Such an honor to be invited back to St. Louis for this fall family pictures year after year. I have been photographing this family since their eldest was still in his mom’s belly and have continued documenting their lives and milestones ever since.

Over the past few years, we have held their fall family pictures at their home for convenience. Dad came home from work just as the sun was setting and was able to participate just in time! His work is down the road and doing their session at home allowed him to dash home, get changed and join the family for their portraits. In fact, I remember him doing that for their son’s newborn portraits too, so it has been an ongoing tradition!

These two love and adore each other so much. I remember when little sister was born and how protective and loving big brother was to her. In fact, he was the only one to get her to laugh and smile as a baby. Seems to work to this day!

They have a great yard to play and explore. Their beloved tree had to make a debut once again. Very fitting for these two.

Fall Extended Family Photographer | St. Louis

I sure miss the vibrancy of Autumn in St. Louis. As an extended family photographer, I was fortunate to spend the most beautiful time of year in the gateway city. I have photographing this family since all the boys were just babies. Now they are all teenagers and one is currently a senior in high school this year. How on earth did that happen?!

We chose Forest Park due to the vibrant colors there. Love how the trees reflect in the water, which just adds more dimension and beauty. Luckily it was a sunny day and even though there were events happening near by in the park, this location wasn’t overly busy and I was able to photograph this sweet family without distractions.

They did a great job coordinating their outfits together and the color palette worked so well with the season. As a professional extended family photographer, I always make sure to give guidance with outfits and even offer free location scouting to find the best place for your family.

Such an honor to photograph this extended family in St. Louis. They all hold such a special place in my heart! So thankful that they trusted me with these special images.

This is my sweet baby girl. She is obviously not a baby anymore, but rather a beautiful young lady, but she will ALWAYS be MY baby. I am sure all parents can relate.

Lily is why I do what I do. Before I got pregnant, I was a video producer with some crazy hours. When I found out I was expecting, my husband and I looked into childcare options, but weren`t having much luck finding what we needed. My heart was telling me to be with my daughter. I didn`t want to miss out on anything. My plan was to freelance, but the hours honestly weren`t much different, so I decided to stay home with my baby girl.

I had always done photography on the side. Early on, I did photo journalism, but then switched over to doing it as a hobby once I started my career in video. I worked for a photographer for a short time in college who had her studio in her home and always thought that would be perfect for when I had my own family. So, that is exactly what I set my mind to once I made the decision to quit the video world. As a mom, it would allow me to set my own goals, hours and run things the way I wanted.

Owning my own business has been such a blessing! I get to be there for my daughter and family while feeding into my passion for photography. It gives me such freedom and makes my heart sing with every session I do. Love documenting important moments for my clients throughout their journey of life. Such an honor and something that I don`t take lightly.

Thank you Lily for leading me down this path and allowing me to do what I am truly passionate about. Getting pregnant with you was the push I needed to make my dreams a reality.

You know when people say that if you do what you love, you never work a day in your life? I can attest that is very true. It is what I hope for my daughter and all of you!
