Most mornings start with a walk in the woods out our back door. The light is absolutely heavenly in the morning and around sunset. It is truly the perfect spot for portraits. It is a place that gives me daily inspiration and simply makes my heart sing. The portrait above is of my daughter yesterday morning as we started our day. She is wearing one of my robes and had just finished her breakfast outside when we saw the family of deer that visit us daily. We went down into the pathway to see if we could see them a bit better as they went into the woods. This time I followed with my camera. I love this serene image of my little girl as she paused for a moment in our trail to check something out. So thankful to have such beautiful surroundings where we live and a place where we can daydream and let our imaginations run wild. Georgia is a dream come true.

Ahhhhh…..Georgia! How I adore my new home State. It’s been almost a year since my family moved to Georgia and we’ve been doing a lot of exploring as we make this our home. We couldn’t be happier. Such a wonderful fit. We recently took a mini holiday in the Savannah area. It has always been a place that I dreamed of visiting and I am so happy to be only a short three and a half hour drive from there. We stayed in Savannah and visited Tybee Island and Jekyll Island. I brought one film camera, one lens and two rolls of film to photograph the area as I wanted to keep things simple and organic as I captured this beautiful area.
