Best Time For A Pregnancy Photoshoot

A frequently asked question is when is the best time for a pregnancy photoshoot.

I recommend maternity photography sessions take place between 31-34 weeks of pregnancy or when your belly goes past your bust-line.

This is a great time as it is obvious that you are pregnant so you can show off your beautiful curves. It is also a time when you are still fairly comfortable and therefore are able to move more freely. Of course, this is just a guideline. Every woman is different in her pregnancy journey. If you aren’t showing much during these weeks, just hold off until your belly has popped out a bit more. This is why I mention waiting until your belly goes past your bust-line.

This is such a wonderful time in a woman’s life and worth documenting. Your finished photographic artwork will mean more to you as the years go by and your children will love looking at these portraits as they grow up. What an amazing gift to be able to see your mom carrying you with so much love, excitement and anticipation!
