Athens, GA outdoor baby photography of a one year old with her stuffed bunny in a wooded pathway.

An outdoor baby photography session made perfect sense for this little beauty with her family. They are moving from the Athens area to Colorado next week and wanted a setting for their daughter’s first birthday portraits to reflect their time here in Georgia. They opted for a petite session to document this important milestone, which worked out perfectly for their needs. The Yvonne Niemann Photography outdoor studio has a wonderful natural pathway in the woods that makes for beautiful portraits year-round. Since this area is so known for all the fabulous pine trees, it fit in with what this family wanted for their backdrop.

This adorable lady is super laid back and was quite inquisitive during her session yesterday. The soft pine straw on her bare feet didn’t bother her one bit. She showed off her walking skills, which she has really perfected. Quite impressive since she is just about to celebrate her first birthday later this month. We got some fabulous images of her alone, with her beloved stuffed bunny (shown above), with her parents and her two dogs! We got a lot of expressions and variety of images captured for their photographic artwork. Congrats Miss B on your first birthday and to the entire S family on their upcoming move and start of yet another great adventure.

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

This picture was taken in a blizzard down the street from where I lived in St. Louis. Can you believe this was in March, right before Easter?! This is NOT a black and white picture. It just looks like it due to the snow conditions. We already had leaves on the trees, which made the snow coverage that much more magical too.

Now, I do not miss the dirty, slushy mess that comes after a snow like this, but I do miss sledding, making forts and snowmen, and having snowball fights.

Hope everyone fares well with the winter storm this weekend.

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

I know we have all heard about the winter storm that is heading our way this weekend. Instead of thinking of ice, I am choosing to think about the warm beach!
