Such a beautiful morning for Athens GA family maternity photos on UGA’s campus! The sun was finally out and the temps certainly felt like a crisp Fall day. Perfect for portraits of these three.

Mom is due in December with her second son and the soon-to-be big brother is going to be three that month as well! What a special time for this family. I bet Christmas this year will be extra touching and exciting.

I love how happy and in love these three are together. Mom mentioned that they play and laugh a lot and it really did come across in their family maternity photos. Their little boy is adorable and the camera loves him as much as he seems to love being in front of my lens. He really enjoyed exploring the area and playing with his parents. We luckily had a lot of variety for him so that he wouldn’t lose interest too fast. Switching things up is always a good idea with toddlers. Seeing chipmunks, squirrels and a few dogs was a great thing too! He wasn’t too keen on his parents snuggling without him, which was actually quite cute. It is what real life is like for these three right now!

Mom did a great job picking out everyone’s outfits. Very fitting for the setting and their personal style. Quite perfect for a crisp morning as well! It’s nice to finally be able to bring out the sweaters for portrait sessions and this family nailed it! Great example of what to wear for Fall family maternity photos.

This is my sweet baby girl. She is obviously not a baby anymore, but rather a beautiful young lady, but she will ALWAYS be MY baby. I am sure all parents can relate.

Lily is why I do what I do. Before I got pregnant, I was a video producer with some crazy hours. When I found out I was expecting, my husband and I looked into childcare options, but weren`t having much luck finding what we needed. My heart was telling me to be with my daughter. I didn`t want to miss out on anything. My plan was to freelance, but the hours honestly weren`t much different, so I decided to stay home with my baby girl.

I had always done photography on the side. Early on, I did photo journalism, but then switched over to doing it as a hobby once I started my career in video. I worked for a photographer for a short time in college who had her studio in her home and always thought that would be perfect for when I had my own family. So, that is exactly what I set my mind to once I made the decision to quit the video world. As a mom, it would allow me to set my own goals, hours and run things the way I wanted.

Owning my own business has been such a blessing! I get to be there for my daughter and family while feeding into my passion for photography. It gives me such freedom and makes my heart sing with every session I do. Love documenting important moments for my clients throughout their journey of life. Such an honor and something that I don`t take lightly.

Thank you Lily for leading me down this path and allowing me to do what I am truly passionate about. Getting pregnant with you was the push I needed to make my dreams a reality.

You know when people say that if you do what you love, you never work a day in your life? I can attest that is very true. It is what I hope for my daughter and all of you!
