Today, I had the studio set up for a session and decided to get some images of my beautiful Chocolate Labrador, Rose. I have wanted to do an image like this of my lil’ lady for a while now. It will be enlarged and displayed with much pride and love in my home.
I love it when my clients bring their pets with them. These furry friends are such a big part of their families lives and deserve to be documented. For many of us, our pets are our first children. In my case, my husband and I had two black labs before our daughter was born. They were our first children. When we welcomed our daughter into the mix, our pups were such great friends to our daughter. They were so patient and loving of her. The feeling was quite mutual. When they passed away, we took some time and decided to bring another furry family member into our home. Our daughter, Lily, begged for a chocolate lab and when we saw this gorgeous beast, we knew she was “the one” for our family. Lily named her Rose as she thought it would be fitting to have another flower in our family. How sweet is that?! Rose is now five years old. She is such a big part of our family. She is a scaredy cat, but full of energy and loves to play, run and snuggle. She loves to be where ever we are and really enjoys when our daughter’s friends visit. She is just one of the gals in those instances.
We have a 24 inch by 30 inch framed print of our two flowers, Lily and Rose, over our fireplace. That picture was taken when Rose was about three months old. This image above will show how much she has grown and aged with her loose skin and gray chin. Cannot wait to have this printed and placed on my walls.
