Athens, GA Fall Family Portrait

Over the weekend I photographed these three for their annual Fall family portrait here in Oconee County. Their photo session was delayed a few days due to rain, but Saturday morning was perfect! The sun was shining and streaming through the trees in the most magical way. Temps were rather chilly for this time of year, but you would never know from looking at their portraits. We kept cars running for quick warmups when needed and played games to keep this little lady distracted. Worked out perfectly!

Love how well they are coordinating without being too matchy matchy. Perfectly fitting for the season and for the upcoming Holidays. Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

This picture was taken in a blizzard down the street from where I lived in St. Louis. Can you believe this was in March, right before Easter?! This is NOT a black and white picture. It just looks like it due to the snow conditions. We already had leaves on the trees, which made the snow coverage that much more magical too.

Now, I do not miss the dirty, slushy mess that comes after a snow like this, but I do miss sledding, making forts and snowmen, and having snowball fights.

Hope everyone fares well with the winter storm this weekend.

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

I know we have all heard about the winter storm that is heading our way this weekend. Instead of thinking of ice, I am choosing to think about the warm beach!

Sand between my toes, sounds of waves crashing, smell of salt water, ocean breeze, beach hair, birds diving down for their meal and laughter/squeals from beachgoers.
