Athens, GA Newborn Photographer | One Month Old

This one month old, Mr J, really wanted his arrival into the world to be remembered, but resulted in a stay in the NICU. Luckily all is well and this little man is doing great! All healthy!!!!

Athens, GA newborn photographer captures a one month old baby boy's heart shaped cowlick in Oconee County.

His mom noticed in the hospital that his cowlick was shaped like a heart and wanted to make sure it was captured. It was a sign that his great grandma was looking over him and protecting him. When his mom contact me, she was worried that we wouldn’t be able to document that sweet and meaningful heart as he is losing his baby hair as most babies do around this age. Luckily, we were able to fit in his portraits in time! Isn’t he just the cutest?! Love his eyebrows, those beautiful blue eyes, round face, pretty complexion and that magical cowlick! He is such a sweet heart and I know that his big brother will be a great help and guide for this little man throughout life. Blanket that we swaddled J in was a baby gift, which happened to match the cable knit pattern in the blanket I had for him to lay on. He sure looks cozy!

This is my sweet baby girl. She is obviously not a baby anymore, but rather a beautiful young lady, but she will ALWAYS be MY baby. I am sure all parents can relate.

Lily is why I do what I do. Before I got pregnant, I was a video producer with some crazy hours. When I found out I was expecting, my husband and I looked into childcare options, but weren`t having much luck finding what we needed. My heart was telling me to be with my daughter. I didn`t want to miss out on anything. My plan was to freelance, but the hours honestly weren`t much different, so I decided to stay home with my baby girl.

I had always done photography on the side. Early on, I did photo journalism, but then switched over to doing it as a hobby once I started my career in video. I worked for a photographer for a short time in college who had her studio in her home and always thought that would be perfect for when I had my own family. So, that is exactly what I set my mind to once I made the decision to quit the video world. As a mom, it would allow me to set my own goals, hours and run things the way I wanted.

Owning my own business has been such a blessing! I get to be there for my daughter and family while feeding into my passion for photography. It gives me such freedom and makes my heart sing with every session I do. Love documenting important moments for my clients throughout their journey of life. Such an honor and something that I don`t take lightly.

Thank you Lily for leading me down this path and allowing me to do what I am truly passionate about. Getting pregnant with you was the push I needed to make my dreams a reality.

You know when people say that if you do what you love, you never work a day in your life? I can attest that is very true. It is what I hope for my daughter and all of you!
