I spent my morning with this handsome three month old baby boy at his home in Watkinsville, GA. Isn’t he just adorable! Love his strawberry blonde hair, those big eyes, his beautiful skin tone and those precious lips. He is just beginning the teething process and is hitting other important milestones early as well – just like his daddy. Baby R’s family decided on a lifestyle baby photography session at their home since the forecast was calling for rain and good thing too since it’s quite the dreary wet day. Portraits at home are perfect for getting a glimpse into your family life during this moment of time. So special. This handsome man’s newborn portraits took place at home and we utilized the parents’ bed for certain images back then, so it made sense to get photos there again to bring it full circle. Amazing how much he has changed and just a mere three months! Happens way too fast – as any parent knows. I am looking forward to creating more photographic artwork of baby R in the near future and witnessing his growth.

I have always been inspired by nature and it will always be something I love to photograph. I think it shows in my work with my portrait sessions too. I love finding locations that have elements of nature I adore. Magical lighting. layers of foliage, pretty flowers, pathways, tunnels of trees, boulders, various water elements and all the little details in between.

Looking forward to Spring and all that it brings. Since moving to Georgia, it is my absolute favorite season. What`s your favorite?

As things are warming up, nature is coming alive. You can see hints of it with grass greening up, tiny buds on trees and certain flowers showing off their beauty already. That also means that cherry blossoms will be flowering in the near future too!

I`ll be keeping an eye on things and when I have a better prediction of when they will be in bloom, I`ll make an announcement. Stay tuned.

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

This picture was taken in a blizzard down the street from where I lived in St. Louis. Can you believe this was in March, right before Easter?! This is NOT a black and white picture. It just looks like it due to the snow conditions. We already had leaves on the trees, which made the snow coverage that much more magical too.

Now, I do not miss the dirty, slushy mess that comes after a snow like this, but I do miss sledding, making forts and snowmen, and having snowball fights.

Hope everyone fares well with the winter storm this weekend.
