Such an honor to photograph this handsome Southern lil’ gentleman during his first year of life! Baby R was celebrating his nine month birthday here with his parents for their Spring family photos at a local peach orchard in Oconee County, Georgia. We really lucked out with timing as the blossoms of the peach trees were in their prime for their scheduled portrait session and the weather was absolutely perfect with the glowing sun to add to the beautiful setting. Mother Nature spoils us here in Georgia year round, but Spring is her finest work!

Love this lil’ man’s personality. He is so full of life and has such a great laugh. The connection between these three is so strong and special. Love to see how they interact with each other and spread their love. Such a great thing to witness and a great honor to document through my camera. I know that these three will look back at their images later in life and be reminded of these magical times and what a great childhood baby R had. Such happiness, joy and love between these three. Can’t wait to see where life leads them.

I have always been inspired by nature and it will always be something I love to photograph. I think it shows in my work with my portrait sessions too. I love finding locations that have elements of nature I adore. Magical lighting. layers of foliage, pretty flowers, pathways, tunnels of trees, boulders, various water elements and all the little details in between.

As things are warming up, nature is coming alive. You can see hints of it with grass greening up, tiny buds on trees and certain flowers showing off their beauty already. That also means that cherry blossoms will be flowering in the near future too!

I`ll be keeping an eye on things and when I have a better prediction of when they will be in bloom, I`ll make an announcement. Stay tuned.

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

This picture was taken in a blizzard down the street from where I lived in St. Louis. Can you believe this was in March, right before Easter?! This is NOT a black and white picture. It just looks like it due to the snow conditions. We already had leaves on the trees, which made the snow coverage that much more magical too.

Now, I do not miss the dirty, slushy mess that comes after a snow like this, but I do miss sledding, making forts and snowmen, and having snowball fights.

Hope everyone fares well with the winter storm this weekend.
