Newborn Photography | Athens GA

Is there a better gift than welcoming a new baby into your family for the Holidays?! This little girl was such a pleasure to photograph at her family’s home for their newborn photography session in Athens, GA. We used all white fabrics and swaddles for the session, which is always a favorite to keep focus on the baby and showcase the purity. Always perfect for a newborn photography session!

Mom and dad were so excited to welcome their baby girl into their family unit and they are doing such a marvelous job! They both go with the flow, which I feel is so comforting for their little girl. She is such a sweetheart and so loved. You can just feel the adoration and happiness through the pictures. Parenthood looks great on these two!

Love the color palette they chose for their portraits. The soft cream sweater is so fitting for not only the time of the year, but also for a newborn photography session! Dad’s pink sweater and pastel button down shirt complimented mom and daughter perfectly. Really shows off their style and personalities. Great example of what to wear for a newborn photography session in the Winter.

There’s a reason I plan my sessions for the edges of the day. Right before sunrise and just before sunset, the sun sits low on the horizon, wrapping everything in soft, golden light. It’s flattering, gentle on skin tones, and creates that dreamy glow you simply can’t replicate at noon. The wind calms, the beach feels peaceful, and the magic naturally unfolds.

This sweet mother-daughter moment was captured on Jekyll Island at Driftwood Beach just as the sun was rising — when the sky turns pastel and the reflections shimmer along the shoreline.

When you trust the light, you get images that feel timeless, effortless, and full of heart.
