This little lady was such a joy to photograph for her newborn baby girl pictures at her home in Oconee County, GA. She was a bit restless, but her  mom’s soothing voice singing sweet lullabies put her at ease every time. She adored being held by her parents and really liked being swaddled securely, which put her fast to sleep when tiredness took over. The monogramed bloomers pictured below were specially made for this baby girl before she was born. They were a bit big for this delicate lady at the time of her portrait session, but I understand that they fit her perfectly now. Great accessory for any Southern lady. 😉

We finished the newborn photography session in the nursery, which was so fitting. Notice the rocking horse in the background? That was mom’s rocking horse from when she was a little girl. Great sentimental value in that last image that brings everything full circle for this mom who is now holding her baby girl and passing down traditions to her very own offspring. Such a wonderful and amazing time!

This is my sweet baby girl. She is obviously not a baby anymore, but rather a beautiful young lady, but she will ALWAYS be MY baby. I am sure all parents can relate.

Lily is why I do what I do. Before I got pregnant, I was a video producer with some crazy hours. When I found out I was expecting, my husband and I looked into childcare options, but weren`t having much luck finding what we needed. My heart was telling me to be with my daughter. I didn`t want to miss out on anything. My plan was to freelance, but the hours honestly weren`t much different, so I decided to stay home with my baby girl.

I had always done photography on the side. Early on, I did photo journalism, but then switched over to doing it as a hobby once I started my career in video. I worked for a photographer for a short time in college who had her studio in her home and always thought that would be perfect for when I had my own family. So, that is exactly what I set my mind to once I made the decision to quit the video world. As a mom, it would allow me to set my own goals, hours and run things the way I wanted.

Owning my own business has been such a blessing! I get to be there for my daughter and family while feeding into my passion for photography. It gives me such freedom and makes my heart sing with every session I do. Love documenting important moments for my clients throughout their journey of life. Such an honor and something that I don`t take lightly.

Thank you Lily for leading me down this path and allowing me to do what I am truly passionate about. Getting pregnant with you was the push I needed to make my dreams a reality.

You know when people say that if you do what you love, you never work a day in your life? I can attest that is very true. It is what I hope for my daughter and all of you!
