Last night I did a mother and daughter photography session for these two on some shoals near Athens, GA. This was a Mother’s Day present from this beautiful lady’s husband. Such a perfect gift! Mom had an afternoon of pampering with her daughter as they got their nails and hair done at the salon. Mom picked up some flowers for their hair to add to the overall styling of their portraits. She had a vision in mind for these images and it was so much fun bringing it all together for her. The lil’ lady in these images is about to celebrate her birthday, so it was extra special and timely for these portraits. We got a lot of images of the birthday gal by herself exploring the shoals, playing in the water and giving me her many expressions that are so adorable. She is currently missing her two front teeth, which is super cute and will be something her parents will fondly look back on as the years pass. Sometimes, as parents, we want to keep our babies small a bit longer. They just grow up way too fast. At least with photographic art, you can freeze these important moments forever.
