Mom and Son Portraits | Athens, GA Family Photographer

There is nothing like mom and son portraits. Such a special relationship that carries on for life and can never be duplicated. I love watching how little boys and even men interact with their mothers. Stories unfold through moments like that and are quite revealing.

I love the ease this mom has with her two little boys. You can tell the joy that is shared between the three of them. Just look at how big brother jumps on his mom in the picture below! Swoon!!!!

I was commissioned to document the youngest boy’s three month portraits. We started the session at their home and then after big brother got home from school, we headed to a local park for some mom and son portraits. It was hot, but we worked fast and got adorable images in the process.

Happy 20th birthday to my sweet Lily Mae!

Twenty years ago today, I had no idea how completely my world was about to change. I still remember all the little details - the morning walk, making homemade cinnamon bread, the doctor’s appointment that unexpectedly turned into a hospital stay, the movie we watched while we waited for your arrival, the sweet nurses and doctors that helped welcome you into the world (thank you Mike for the epidural)…and then the moment they placed you on my chest and we met for the very first time.

I could not have asked for a better daughter. I am so incredibly proud of the woman you have become and love watching you find your own way in this world. I cannot wait to see where life takes you next.

No matter how grown you are, you will always be my baby girl. Happy 20th, Lily Mae. You are my whole world. 🤍
