I absolutely love lifestyle mother daughter photography! There is something so pure and touching of these natural moments between a mother with her child. It gives a tiny glimpse into someone’s family life and I am able to capture some of those moments that are meaningful and will be cherished for years to come. The connection between these two is so strong and sweet to witness and it was a delight to photograph.
We started with images of this lil’ beauty in one of their back rooms that has beautiful light and is a wonderful area for a little girl to daydream while looking outside the windows. I was told that these two spend a lot of time in the parents’ bedroom on the bed, so that was a natural place for us to create the following images of mother and daughter sharing some quiet cuddle time as well as some playful moments. Their love and special relationship really shines here.
I love how the neutral colors of the bedding and mom’s clothing work together, while the pop of red draws you in without being distracting. I adore neutral color palettes for backgrounds as it really keeps the focus on those being photographed and their special connections. If you are having a lifestyle portrait session taken at your home, you may consider switching your bedding to something neutral like white, cream or gray.
