Jekyll Island Summer Family Photoshoot

Summertime is when a lot of families vacation, which is also a great time for a summer family photoshoot. These ladies took a girls trip to Jekyll Island. Three generations of girls!!!! Such a special tradition these ladies have and I am sure will be carried on through the years to come. The memories they are making is just priceless. So honored to be able to document them on their trip. I did two sessions for these sweet ladies – one at Driftwood Beach and then historic district.

We stopped on this walkway on the way to the historic district of Jekyll Island for a few images overlooking the marsh. Lighting was golden and so pretty! We then headed over to the historic district to get images of them among the live oak trees that are dressed in Spanish moss. What a delight!

The ladies were all dressed up, so they took advantage of things and headed to a nice dinner at Zachry’s Riverhouse  after their session. What a great way to finish their evening and trip.

Happy 20th birthday to my sweet Lily Mae!

Twenty years ago today, I had no idea how completely my world was about to change. I still remember all the little details - the morning walk, making homemade cinnamon bread, the doctor’s appointment that unexpectedly turned into a hospital stay, the movie we watched while we waited for your arrival, the sweet nurses and doctors that helped welcome you into the world (thank you Mike for the epidural)…and then the moment they placed you on my chest and we met for the very first time.

I could not have asked for a better daughter. I am so incredibly proud of the woman you have become and love watching you find your own way in this world. I cannot wait to see where life takes you next.

No matter how grown you are, you will always be my baby girl. Happy 20th, Lily Mae. You are my whole world. 🤍
