So good to be back on Jekyll Island once again! This sunrises session was such a delight. Girl’s trip of three generations is so special and I am glad they decided to document the occasion with Driftwood Beach family photos. This was their first time on this beach and it did not disappoint. It is truly one of a kind!
These sisters have a great relationship with each other and with their mom and grandmother. It is truly a delight to witness and to capture through my camera. We started their session in what I would refer to as “the forest” and then we moved over for some fun in the surf.
When I saw this log, I knew we had to put it to use. Isn’t is just dreamy with the clouded sky, ocean, sand and the character of the aged wood?
Love that they were game to getting wet and sandy as I think it really added to their Driftwood Beach family photos. There is nothing like cooling off and playing in the ocean. So much fun. Portrait sessions do not need to be boring!
Sweetest way to start the day! Yes. Sunrise sessions are early, but soooo worth it. Coolest time of day, beaches are less populated and the light is soft and perfect. Another bonus is once your session is over, you can go enjoy the rest of your day.
