This newborn photography session in Atlanta, GA was super special for this family. Mom and dad were both born in Africa and they wanted to incorporate some of their traditions, from both cultures, into their portraits. Relatives traveled all the way from Africa to be here for the birth of this precious baby boy and they brought with them gifts of traditional African clothing and some beautiful material used commonly as a baby carrier. Such sentimental items that I know mean so much to this family. I always encourage families to include meaningful items in their portraits as they really tell their unique stories in a way that will be cherished that much more over time. So glad that I was able to create photographic artwork for this family using items that I know will become family heirlooms. Such a wonderful gift to their baby boy too. He will grow up looking at his newborn portraits feeling love and pride of his heritage. Such a special thing.
