Ahhhh….family Spring portraits!!! Love the beauty of this time of year as the grass greens up with vibrancy, trees begin blossoming and flowers start budding from the ground. Such a magical time and fitting for family portraits – especially when a baby is involved. Showing the growth of a child and the budding relationships of family members is much like the season.
This family was such a delight to photograph always. I had first photographed these three when their son was still in him mommy’s belly for their maternity photo session. This field is the exact same one that used for those portraits and we decided to do their son’s first birthday portraits with the same backdrop. Talk about going in full circle! Such a sentimental and meaningful place for their family Spring portraits.
I absolutely love the colors they chose for their outfits. So fitting for the season and for this location. The pastel color palette is perfection and a great example of what to wear for your family Spring portraits outdoors. Love the baby’s romper that will surely become a family heirloom. The pastel blue not only matches his beautiful blue eyes, but also works perfectly with his dad’s shirt and mom’s jean jacket. Mom’s pale pink shirt coordinates with the glow of the setting sun behind the trees, which gives the most beautiful shade of pink during this time of year.
Such classic images of a beautiful family celebrating their son’s first birthday! Congrats lil’ man. Enjoy the journey of life. I believe it will be a good one!
