This family maternity photography session in Ballwin was a special treat for me as I had photographed their first pregnancy a few years back. I couldn’t be happier for this family as they grow into a family of four! Dad grew up just down the street from this location and he spent quite a bit of time at this park during the first part of his life. So fitting to bring it full circle for their maternity photos for their second child. Their first child is such a sweet heart and full of life! She already was in full love mode with her baby brother in mommy’s belly during their photo session. It’s great to celebrate the joy and miracle of pregnancy with the entire family and capturing images like this is a great way to document this time in their lives. During their session, lil’ G loved to run around and play with daddy while I focused attention on capturing mom’s maternity portraits. Hearing the giggles and squeals of delight was like music to my ears, although I know it was tough for dad who was chasing her and trying to keep her from wondering off too far. While I captured mom and dad, I played games with G, keeping her busy finding lady bugs, counting the blades of grass or getting camera settings with my light meter. The trick was to move fast and keep changing things up. When it was time for princess G to join her family for portraits, we kept that fun for her as well. She was all about hugs, kisses and being thrown in the air, which is exactly what we captured! Aren’t they just an adorable family?!
