Early Fall mother and son portraits in Watkinsville, GA.

Had a great time photographing this duo for their Fall mother and son portraits last night in Watkinsville, GA. This lil’ man is four months and is hitting all his milestones early just like his daddy did as a baby. I love his sweet personality and his many faces. He was quite inquisitive yesterday as he took in the new surroundings and my camera. He really lit up when his mom sang to him, which I know he is quite used to as she has been singing the same songs to him since he was a newborn. Even as an infant, he would respond to her singing in such a wonderful way.

It is early Autumn here in Georgia, but we found some nice pockets of color at this location and the rustic look along with the clothing choices of mom really spoke to the season. Great example of what to wear for Fall mother and son portraits! Perfection.

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

This picture was taken in a blizzard down the street from where I lived in St. Louis. Can you believe this was in March, right before Easter?! This is NOT a black and white picture. It just looks like it due to the snow conditions. We already had leaves on the trees, which made the snow coverage that much more magical too.

Now, I do not miss the dirty, slushy mess that comes after a snow like this, but I do miss sledding, making forts and snowmen, and having snowball fights.

Hope everyone fares well with the winter storm this weekend.

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

I know we have all heard about the winter storm that is heading our way this weekend. Instead of thinking of ice, I am choosing to think about the warm beach!
