I absolutely adore maternity portraits! There is something just so romantic about this time and it really resonates in pictures – especially when both parents-to-be are featured. Can’t you just see the happiness, joy, excitement and love between these two as they wait in anticipation for their first baby to arrive? This mom-to-be just glows! We went to a couple different locations for this couple’s maternity photography session and we finished it up at this country setting near their home in Oconee County. They were completely at ease, which really shows beautifully in their demeanor and through their loving expressions. Such an exciting time and it’s such an honor to capture these moments for this loving couple. Their outfits are a perfect example of what to wear for a country maternity photography session. Beautifully coordinated and fits their surroundings wonderfully. Congrats M and S! Can’t wait to meet your baby girl.

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

This picture was taken in a blizzard down the street from where I lived in St. Louis. Can you believe this was in March, right before Easter?! This is NOT a black and white picture. It just looks like it due to the snow conditions. We already had leaves on the trees, which made the snow coverage that much more magical too.

Now, I do not miss the dirty, slushy mess that comes after a snow like this, but I do miss sledding, making forts and snowmen, and having snowball fights.

Hope everyone fares well with the winter storm this weekend.

Being in the south, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE snow.

I know we have all heard about the winter storm that is heading our way this weekend. Instead of thinking of ice, I am choosing to think about the warm beach!
