I’m proud to announce that I am a Top Professional Award Recipient – again! Earlier this year I won Best Child Portrait for 2010 and this morning I got word that I won Best Newborn Portrait for 2010! You may remember sweet baby G from his newborn portrait session as well as from the opening page of the Yvonne Niemann Photography website. I chose to enter this particular image for the photography contest because I just love how the foliage frames him and the richness of the portrait. I also think it’s a timeless piece of art that can easily be passed down through the generations. Thanks baby G for allowing me to capture this award winning portrait.

Love this area of the historic district of Jekyll Island. Pretty walkways, roads, buildings, trees and scenery. It is like taking a step back in time in many ways. I have been photographing my daughter in this exact location for the last few summers and it never disappoints.
